The crew is composed of astronauts Kenneth D. Cockrell (right front), mission commander; and Mark L. Polansky (left front), pilot; along with astronauts Marsha S. Ivins, Robert L. Curbeam, Jr., (left rear) and Thomas D. Jones (right rear), all mission specialists.
