How The Photographs Are Made
These prints are the highest quality custom photographs available.
They are not an inkjet "printed" or "litho" poster product. Enlargements are made from digital products with
a LightJet 5000 and printed on high quality photographic paper, Fujicolor Crystal Archive, with your choice of
glossy (default) or matte surface.
Here are the results of fading tests conducted by archival expert Henry Wilhelm
for the International Association of Fine Art Digital Printmakers. Wilhelm is
also the author of the definitive book on image stability, "The Permanence and Care
of Color Photographs."

Susan Seiling, owner of West Coast Imaging has this to say about the combination of the Lightjet 5000 and Fuji Crystal Archive paper.
"The Lightjet 5000 prints on Fuji Crystal Archive paper have been tested by Henry Wilhelm to be more archival than other popular color printing processes, including
Ilfochrome (Cibachrome), C-prints and Type R prints. In controlled testing, the paper lasts over 60 years without noticeable fading--this is over two times longer than
Ilfochrome prints.
I have seen the actual fade tests, which simulate how the Fuji Crystal Archive print will look after 75 years (even longer than 60 years mentioned above). The color looks
vibrant and true, with no significant color shifts and very minor yellowing on the edge of the print. This is far better than fade tests for other color print materials.
The Lightjet 5000 prints represent the very best prints the photographer can make from their image at this time... It's important to remember that photography is an
investment, like any fine art. By buying a Lightjet 5000 print, your investment
will last longer than a photograph made with any other popular color printing process in existence."
